Fakir HORIZON
"As a canister type cyclonic vacuum cleaner, Horizon redefines the product experience by introducing an enhanced foot-operated interface that defies conventional norms. This innovative approach, coupled with a profound conceptual foundation inspired by the gravitational pull of a black hole at its cyclone area, exerts a gravitational pull, bending the surrounding surfaces and distinguishes Horizon where cutting-edge technology meets a compelling conceptual narrative."

"Following the success of our initial project, Fakir Hausgeräte has extended another opportunity, seeking my consultancy for a canister-type vacuum cleaner. In light of the growing demand for robot vacuums and powerful cordless upright cleaners, there's been a shift in the market, affecting the demand for this specific vacuum type. The objective is to rekindle demand by addressing current market conditions while providing an exceptional and visually striking design approach with a primary focus on the cyclone area and providing IoT-ready layout
"In response to these project requirements, my goal was to gain predictive insights into the market landscape. Formulating a precise scope in the focus of enhancing the user experience by elevating the ease of engagement, particularly when compared to cordless vacuum cleaners. Additionally, another goal is to build robust conceptual alignment to underscore and emphasize the product's performance through cyclone area"

Services
Extensive research, involving qualitative benchmarking, parallel market analyses, and user reviews, has provided valuable insights, forming a robust foundation and a clearly defined project scope. Empathetic inputs acquired during the research phase played a pivotal role in crystallizing our project goals.
These insights were transformed into assets during brainstorming sessions, focusing on market hard trends. Later the outputs became the building blocks of our concept directions. Subsequent to concept refinement based on client feedback, the CAD phase was initiated to gather ideas for feasible outputs & ergonomic mock-ups to be evaluated later on.

In the cosmic ballet, black holes emerge as celestial enigmas, wielding an unparalleled gravitational force that defies our understanding. Born from the remnants of massive stars, these entities create an intense gravitational field, a cosmic dance where matter swirls into an unseen abyss, shaping the fabric of space-time.
'Horizon' channels the captivating strength of black holes, becoming a gravitational force in the vacuum cleaner realm, drawing in debris for a powerful cleaning experience. The design mirrors the elegance and intensity of this celestial phenomenon, establishing a powerful connection between cosmic wonders and the tangible experience of innovative cleaning technology.
In our concept directions, the goal is to prioritize foot interaction for intuitive use. Enhancing mobility and eliminating cables holds the potential to mark a shift from the conventional bagless era. A creative approach would spotlight the cyclone area, introducing a departure from the ordinary. Our primary focus is on seamlessly integrating IoT into the user experience, aligning with emerging trends observed in robotic vacuums. The solution centers on offering tangible evidence of effective cleaning, achieved through enhanced visual feedback in key product areas and the delivery of real-time updates.

Fakir opted for the Horizon, recognizing its exceptional success in highlighting visual distinctiveness and conceptual relevance, especially with its outstanding cyclone area. The distinctive user interaction, accomplished solely through foot operation, further solidified Horizon's appeal.

I envisioned the cyclone area as a metaphorical singularity—a gravitational focal point akin to a black hole's core. Drawing inspiration from the intense forces shaping space-time, our final form language mirrors the graceful bending and shaping observed in the surroundings of a black hole.
Horizon mirrors the cosmic dance, where matter responds to gravitational forces, curating surfaces that elegantly curve and intertwine, symbolizing dynamic interactions at the cyclone area as the central hub. This intentional connection enriches the product with a profound narrative, where visual aesthetics tell a compelling story of cosmic forces.

Enhanced foot control, enabling users to operate the device hands-free. This intuitive interface extends beyond mere activation, allowing users to effortlessly toggle between various modes through a specially designed foot control scroll. This functionality enhances user experience, combining technological advancement with user-centric design.

In the IoT version, the foot control operates touch-free through gesture control, enabling users to seamlessly choose between modes without physically touching the device. This advanced feature not only enhances user convenience but also adds a touch of technological sophistication, offering an intuitive and hands-free mode selection experience through simple foot gestures.

Furthermore, users can engage with the device using foot controls to eject the dustbin and perform maintenance tasks for the HEPA filter and prefilter. This intentional design incorporates rich interactions and simplified details, aiming to elevate the overall quality of the user experience to a user-friendly and intuitive process.
